To support diagnostic tools that require a full 24V signal, Jifeline offers dedicated 24V Locals:
- 24V Local-1 – Single OBD port
- 24V Local-4 – Four OBD ports
- Both variants are offered at the same price as their 12V counterparts.
Safety features
The 24V OBD ports are equipped with a physical safeguard.
This prevents a 12V diagnostic tool from being accidentally connected to a 24V port and becoming damaged.
How diagnostic tools detect voltage
A diagnostic tool can determine the vehicle voltage in two ways:
- By requesting the voltage directly from the vehicle
- By reading the voltage via the CAN-bus (OBD pins)
If the voltage is read via the CAN-bus, a 12V Local will not work, as it only supports 12V. If the voltage is requested directly from the vehicle, a 12V Local may work depending on the diagnostic tool.
For consistent results, a 24V Local is recommended for truck diagnostics.
Remote interface compatibility
No additional remote interface is required.
- J-ReX supports both 12V and 24V vehicles
- J-TaB supports both 12V and 24V vehicles
Dashboard compatibility
24V tickets appear in the same partner dashboard as 12V tickets and can be handled in the same way.
