Truck diagnostics overview

This article provides a general overview of 24V diagnostics and links to more detailed documentation.
Jifeline supports remote diagnostics for 24V trucks. With 24V support enabled, partners can handle truck diagnostic tickets directly from their existing dashboard, using the same workflow as for 12V vehicles.

12V vs 24V

A 12V Local is designed for passenger vehicles with a 12-volt electrical system.  A 24V Local is designed for trucks using a 24-volt electrical system.

Some diagnostic tools require a full 24V signal on the OBD port to function correctly. In those cases, a 24V Local is required.

Supported truck brands

Remote diagnostics are currently supported for the following truck brands:

  • MAN
  • Mercedes Trucks
  • DAF
  • IVECO Trucks
  • Volvo Trucks
  • Renault Trucks

Scania is currently under development. Ford Trucks will be added later in 2026. Together, these brands cover approximately 90% of the 24V truck market.
