Managing your product catalog

It is important to set up and manage your product catalog correctly.

Products must be enabled before they can be used. This is important for both your customers and partner collaborations.

  • If a product is enabled, customers can select it in the Customer Portal when creating a ticket.
  • If a product is not enabled, customers will not be able to see or select it in the Customer Portal.
  • If a product is enabled for Insourcing, other partners can outsource tickets with this product to your dashboard.
  • If a product is not enabled for Insourcing, other partners will not see your dashboard under "Providers with matching Products" when outsourcing a ticket with that product.

Please note: A product must be enabled for the specific vehicle type. Only then will customers be able to create a ticket with this product for that vehicle. The same applies to partner collaborations: a product must be enabled for Insourcing for the specific vehicle type before another partner can outsource a ticket with that product to your dashboard.

Follow these steps to manage your products:

  1. Log in to your dashboard.
  2. Go to Products.

Here you will see two tabs: Vehicles and Products.

There are two ways to manage your product catalog. You can configure your products from the Vehicle point of view or from the Product point of view.

Vehicle

Select a vehicle model to configure the available products for that vehicle.

For each product, you can:

  • Enable or disable the product
  • Set the Gross Price
  • Set the OE Service Fee
  • Configure Outsourcing
  • Configure Insourcing

You will also see the Operator Only option.

When this option is enabled, customers cannot select this product in the Customer Portal. Only your operators can add this product to a ticket.

Custom products

In the top-right corner of the screen, click + Add custom product to create a custom product.

Once the custom product has been created, it can be linked to one or more vehicle models, just like the standard products.
