When you log in to the dashboard, go to Branding and select the relevant branding configuration. Here you will find several URL fields that can be filled in to customize the customer experience.
Below is a clear overview of each URL and its purpose:
Customer Portal URL Prefix
This prefix is used to generate the customer portal URL for the selected branding. It can only contain letters, numbers, and hyphens.
Example:
If you enter “my-brand”, the portal URL will be:
my-brand.obd.help
If left empty, a global default prefix will be used.
Help Center URL
This URL is used to direct customers to the Help Center and can be found in the customer portal menu.
Wireless Interface Instructional Video URL
This URL can be used in the optional email sent when a new customer is created and a connector is linked. It allows you to include an instructional video link in that email.
Note: This email feature is not commonly used by most partners.
Privacy Policy URL
This URL links to the company’s privacy policy and is can be found in the customer portal menu.
Remote Access URL
This URL is visible to customers under the “Support” section in the customer portal. It can be used to provide support remotely.
Terms of Service UL
This URL can be found in the customer portal menu. Allowing customers to review the company’s service level agreements.
