WiFi Router TCP/UDP Settings

To ensure correct operation of the remote diagnostics application, configure the following port and network settings on your Wi‑Fi router and network firewall.

Required TCP/UDP Ports
Mandatory:

  • 443 (User interfacing)
  • 46329 (CAN Bus data - AES encrypted)

Alternatively if port 46329 fails:

  • 80 (optional, port 80 is fall-back for port 46329, CAN Bus data - AES encrypted)

Network & Security requirements

The network hosting the connectors (local or remote) must allow outbound connections to a set of reserved public IP addresses. All our public IP addresses should be accessible on TCP port 46329. We actively maintain a list of our public IP addresses online in JSON or TXT format:

At Jifeline, we aim to be future-proof. The list may contain more IP addresses than currently in use to allow for quick scaling. Any changes to the list will be communicated in advance via our newsletter or partner mailing.

Additional WiFi requirements

  • WiFi security must be set to WPA/WPA2.
  • The local and remote connectors connect to: passthrough.jifeline.com
  • The remote only supports a 2.4GHz network band (it will not work on 5GHz)
