LED Lights on the Remote

The LED lights on the Remote VCI indicate the device’s current status. Here’s what they mean:

Orange LED

A solid orange light means the Remote VCI is ready for use. This light should always be on during operation.
If the orange LED is off, disconnect the OBD plug for 30 seconds and then reconnect it.
If the light remains off, perform a reset by pressing and holding the pinhole button on the back of the remote for 5 seconds.
If that does not work, perform a hard reset by holding the button for 60 seconds.
Once the orange light turns on again, the VCI can connect.

Green LED

The green LED shows the network status:

  • A slow blink (once per second) means the Wi-Fi module is active and ready to connect
  • A medium blink (three times per second) means the network is configured and the VCI is attempting to connect
  • A fast blink (ten times per second) means the VCI is connected to the local network and trying to reach the Jifeline server
  • A solid green light means the VCI is fully connected to the Jifeline server and ready for remote diagnostics

When the green LED on top is flashing and the LED lights next to the ethernet port are both on continuously, the Remote VCI is fully connected and ready to use.

Blue LEDs and update mode

When the blue LEDs on the front light up and you hear a short beep, the Remote VCI is installing an update. During this process, the orange LED on the side may turn off.

Important: Do not disconnect the Remote VCI from the car or the internet while it is updating. Interrupting the update can cause the device to become unresponsive.
