Issues on Pin 6-14 & Pin 3-11

Issues with Pin 6–14 or Pin 3–11 (commonly on Ford and Fiat Ducato)

Sometimes the Remote VCI may have trouble reading ecu's on Pin 6–14 or 3–11 and shows "0 ecu's found".
You can check this by clicking the schema symbol in the information bar above in the ticket:

This issue can occur when the wrong vehicle type has been selected. The exact build year and type are very important in relation to the pin settings of the plugin profile. Ford and Fiat Ducato, in particular, are very sensitive to the engine type.

  • Make sure the correct brand, model, type, and engine type have been selected.

  • The dashboard may not be fully updated and may not immediately show communication on these pins, so we advise checking the live log.

    Still no communication?

  • If communication is still not possible after these steps, please outsource the ticket to Networks Support via the Jifeline dashboard.

  • Our support team will assist in identifying whether the problem is hardware-related or due to incorrect profile settings.

  • Outsourcing to the Support dashboard is completely free of charge. These tickets are always handled as “demo tickets” and will be closed at no cost.

    Known issue – VAG group
There is a known issue in the VAG group where only the gateway module can be found on Pin 6–14 and read. This may indicate a defect in the Remote VCI.

  • You can check this in the ticket by looking in the live log. Scroll down and look for the line:
ecu:channel:can:6-14, you will only find one line. This is the gateway module (710-77A). Normally, there should be many more lines.

  • When this happens, contact our Support Team and create an RMA. See our article about our Return Process.
