Issues with communication on Pin 3–8 (This is a known issue for PSA vehicles)
Sometimes the Remote VCI may have trouble reading ECUs on Pin 3–8 and shows "0 ecu's found".
You can check this by clicking the schema symbol:
Try the following steps:
Ask the customer to unplug the Remote VCI, wait 30 seconds, and replug it, making sure it is pressed firmly.
Click the refresh button next to the plugin profiles.
The schema symbol may not immediately show communication on Pin 3–8, so we advise checking the live log.
If nothing is found on Pin 3–8:
Ask the customer if they have an OBD extender or break-out box. If so, they can connect it to the Remote VCI and click the refresh button next to the plugin profiles.
Sometimes the pins of the Remote VCI may not make proper contact with the vehicle, resulting in no communication. Check the pins and clean them if necessary.
If the issue persists, try another PSA vehicle. If the same problem occurs on another PSA vehicle, the Remote VCI may be defective on these pins.
When this happens, contact our Support Team and create an RMA. See our article about our Return Process.
