You can now simulate dropping all locals from a tickets connection without actually disconnecting them, ensuring they remain unavailable to other operators. In many cases, this will trigger an ignition reset, a process currently also achieve by manually dropping the local connection.
Activation
Before you can use this feature, you first need to activate it:
- Go to the openOBD marketplace
- Enable the Simulate drop and retain locals in connection function
- Once enabled, the script will become available for your operators in the ticket workspace
How to use it in your ticket workspace
- Open your ticket workspace
- Navigate to the Automation tab on the right-hand side
- Under the available OpenOBD functions, select Simulate drop and retain locals in connection
- Start the script
Once started, the script will simulate dropping all local connections from the ticket while keeping them reserved in the background. This ensures they remain unavailable to other operators during execution.
Through the operator interaction, you can deactivate the simulation at any time and restore the local connections to their normal state.
Important information
- Local connections are not physically disconnected; they are only logically dropped from the ticket context while remaining retained in the system
- The local connector will be muted while the script is active
- You remain fully in control of the ticket during execution
- The script can be stopped manually at any time if required
- The script is completely free of charge and will not be billed
